Radiotherapy: simultaneous Radiation
Starting with day 1 of chemotherapy, 1.8 Gy for 5 days per week up to a total dose of 54 Gy for 6 weeks. Beginning on day 19 of therapy, after completion of chemotherapy, patients received one additional irradiation per day for 12 days. The second irradiation was given at intervals of at least 6 hours and a dose of 1.5 Gy up to a total radiation dose of 72 Gy.
